OOTD- FSU Visit

I can’t believe a whole semester has gone by!!!!

Some Florida State student needs to buy this here. I was perusing Etsy and came across this gem…How cute would it be at a game?!

A list of things in Tallahassee that I wish I had found sooner……Read it so you don’t make my same mistakes.

Mr. Robotos- NOM NOMS. Enough said. Order hibachi chicken with noodles or samurai chicken with fried rice. You won’t regret it. Be sure to try the yum yum sauce. No one knows what’s in it, but…who cares? There are two in Tally- One on Tennessee (my fave) and one on Pensacola. Oh, and it’s insanely cheap for the amount of food you get. It was easily two meals for me. 

Urban Thread- A shoppers dream. This wonderful, little store sells the catalog returns from J Crew, Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Anthropologie. They sell the clothes at a fraction of the price, and I mean, what college student has tons of money for a nice wardrobe?! When you go, sign up for the mailing list. They email you every time they have a big sale. Also, this store can be a hit or miss so you’ll have to check in often! There are two locations, one on Monroe (near Lake Ella) and one on Market St (kinda far, but if you go…also check out Narcissus next door)

Hobby Lobby- The crafters utopia. Since there are only like 5 (ish) in the state of Florida, consider yourself lucky. I am jealous of you. Take full advantage and craft your heart out. Also, they have a wide variety of home decor…I may be obsessed with their wrought iron hooks and wall accessories…just a little. A plus, is that HL is super cheap, always has big sales, & a coupon on their site. If you have never been to one, it is definitely worth your while to go in. 

The Rez- If you are at all outdoorsy, go. You can rent a kayak, canoe, or paddle board for an hour FO FREE. Just bring your FSU ID to get in, as well as to rent your ride. There is also a beach volleyball area and a lake beach to get your tan on, if that’s what you prefer. 

People 21 & Up: Bulls- Favorite bar. Get a Bulls card and use it. It pays for itself. I am hurting without it. You buy a membership to the bar for the semester for like $65 (they change it sometimes) and you can go as many times as you want for free. All you can drink. Yeah…Spring semester is better because that membership is also good for the Summer. By the end of my Summer semester, I was basically robbing them. Thanks.

Last, but not least….

St. George Island- HEAVEN on earth (in my opinion anyway). It is by far my favorite place in ALL of North Florida and one of my favorite beaches that I have ever been to (with that said, I have been to a TON of beaches…if that makes a difference to you.) Ok, so this beach is almost 2 hours away from Tallahassee, but still so worth it. Gather up the gang, carpool, do what you must to make it happen. In my experience, going into the state park at the end of the island makes the experience complete. You have to pay around $6 to get in, but once you do, it is deserted (usually.) I have gone many times and I saw dolphins almost every time, and once a sea turtle swam right up to me! It was magical. If you go, make sure to either bring food and alcohol, or stop at the ONE fast food place on the island (Subway) before entering the state park. A cheaper way to enjoy the island is to camp there! It is like $26.00 which includes the park entrance for up to two cars and the facilities are great (meaning: the bathrooms are clean and the showers are hot.) You cannot camp on the actual beach, but the campsites are a five minute walk. 

OK, so those were a few of my favorite places in Tallahasse/ North Florida…There’s a million more, but that’s what I have for now. Go, eat, shop, and enjoy. 

*Note: I left out places like Landis Green or Doak Campbell Stadium…Everyone loves those. If you don’t know what I am talking about, then you’re not a Seminole.

Graduation Day.

Fyi and I getting ready to leave the FSU Spring game. This was my last sporting event in Doak Campbell Stadium as an undergrad! So bittersweet….
